Concerned they won’t get Odin’s attention so far away from home, they stab out their own left eyes. When the wind dies down and the Vikings find themselves stranded, they decide to appeal to the Viking Supreme. How did Odin arrive in America? According to Ibis, Odin’s American adventure began when his Viking followers sailed from their home in Scandinavia to a rocky beach within the borders of what will one day be considered part of America. When people stop worshipping them completely, they wither away.īelow, you’ll find a handy guide to all the gods we’ve met so far. Like regular folks, they need to eat and make the rent. Yet the gods carry on, running funeral parlors or video stores or driving cabs. Eventually, their descendants assimilate into American culture, and the old gods are mostly forgotten. When people come to America from other countries, as the Vikings do in the show’s opening prologue, they bring their gods with them. Like: Why does the show open with Vikings coming to America in the year 813 C.E.? Why do the Vikings, shortly after arriving in here, begin stabbing out their own eyeballs? Why does the story proceed directly from the Viking scene to a cell in a modern-day prison?īy the time you watch the exchange where the protagonist, Shadow Moon, is sitting in a limo opposite a young man whose face keeps dissolving into a jumble of pixels, you will inevitably find yourself asking, as Shadow Moon does in about so many words, what the hell is going on?Īs one of many, many Neil Gaiman fans whose devotion to the master borders on, well, the religious, I’m here to provide some answers.Īt the heart of the story is a fairly simple premise. If you plan to watch American Gods without first reading the Neil Gaiman book that it’s based on, you’re probably going to have a lot of questions. Meggido 70 Blood Elf Warlock Agamaggan Server USĬomment by AstraneaSince nobody did it yet, I tried to sum them all up.L-R: Ian McShane, Pablo Schreiber, Yetide Badaki. Now this strategy takes some time to get use to but once you got it down its actually an easy fun fight for a blue which at worst nets you a Large Prismatic Shard and the ability to say "I did it". With 75 all resist(I'm a BE) most of his laser beam ticks would only do 3/4ths or half damage and I would run out of range after about 2-3 tics and Siphon Life is enough to keep me going thought my life taps and his damage.Īlso having the PvP trinket to break fear if you do get hit by it is nice. So that leaves 2 classes who can do this, Hunters and Warlocks, Hunters are SoL because they can't easily get good resistance to his magic damage and have no viable way(potions are not enough) to heal himself and will run out of mana where Warlocks through Siphon Life and Lifetap can sustain themselves.Īnother note is you do NOT want to use Soul Link as the fight is long enough and you take so much damage your pet will die and you cant stop to heal him. Only pet classes can do this because of the whole leash thing for some reason when your pet attacks something but you have aggro mobs don't leash until your pet dies so as long as your above your pet on the aggro table he wont leash. If you do a 180 or a 90 degree turn and he teleports to you then he will hit you in melee for about 1200 on cloth or possibly fear you then kill your pet causing him to leash back and you have to start over again. The key when kiting is to always run straight and if you have minor speed on your boots(which you should anyways) there is a delay after he teleports and you will be out of range of his melee attack and his fear so he will do his laser beam thing but you will run out of range before it finishes and there will be a 3-5 seconds delay where it stops and before he teleports, use this time to make a small turn about 30 degrees or so and keep making them until you go in a circle. I started off by clearing the vally between the entrance and the alter of shadows of the Enraged Air Spirits and a few of those crystal mining things right by the exit, had my Felhunter attack and opened with an Immolate, Searing Pain, then started dotting and running to the BE outpost(guards are for sissys dont use them, be a man!) in a straight line dotting as I am going and doing the occasional shadowbolt from shadowtrance. Wrong, this is soloable WITHOUT having to rely on guards to help you.Ģ) You need to have both Master Demonologist and Siphon Life talents(so pretty much 23/38 or 27/34 specs only)Ĥ) You need a lot of spell damage(1k+), some potions(makes it easier) and a good amount of HPĥ) You need a pre-determined kite path that is already cleared of any mobs that will aggro you Comment by Meggido"Immune to snares and slowing effects.
